Martin’s scientific background (design tech, maths and physics) gives him the skills to find creative solutions to all sorts of challenges, and his naturally inquisitive nature provides him with the desire. Originally intent on a career in architecture, he had a change of heart after he was knocked sideways by a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney. A seed was planted (!) and he decided to look at career options related to gardens and design, finally electing to study Landscape Architecture, or in his own words, ‘Design of Outdoor Space’. After graduating, Martin spent a year with Groundwork, before joining Dreamscape Gardens – he’s now our senior designer.
Martin is our interface with all our design clients (luckily he’s a great ‘people person’), drilling down to discover what their garden is really going to mean to them and how they’re going to use it. He always finds the imaginative solution to deliver their dreams!
Martin lives with his partner Alice in Chorlton and in his spare time plays football and listens to music.
